Discovery Groups

Sunday 4:30-6:00pm
Discovery groups are small group Bible studies divided by age and gender that meet in homes with an adult leader.  These groups give students an opportunity to discover new things about God’s word while building a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, other believers, and a caring adult leader.  Some groups are also participating in local mission opportunities, and other ministries that they choose to get involved with, on a regular bases.  Although these groups have been going on for a while, there is still space for anyone who would like to join a group.  Groups like this were vital to my own faith journey and I’m really excited about offering this experience to the youth at Emmaus.  If you would like to participate, please call me at the church register.

We meet from 6:15 – 7:15.  During that time Students participate in hands-on activities and a related in-depth discussion of scripture.  We have just Completed a 26 week study of Acts and a 13 week study of Nehemiah.    We are starting a study of Ezra and then will be moving back to the New Testament to study some of Paul’s letters. 

Youth Net (3rd Wednesday of the month)

Youth Net is an exciting multi-church youth event. We join with other church around the community for a time of worship and fellowship with student from all over the peninsula.  The serves are completely student lead and always a great time.  We meet at the church at 6:15 and return sometime between 8:30 and 8:45.  One of our favorite tradition is on the way back we stop at a local 7-11 for a quick snack.  With  the exception of April where have the opportunity to host all of the churches here.
