“Seeds of Knowledge”

Someone very dear to my heart gave me a little book entitled Seeds of Knowledge for Christmas this year.  I want to share some of these “seeds” with you.  I’ll give you the seed and then the person who wrote it. Enjoy!

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

“Accept the challenges, so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory.”

General George S. Patton

“Make the mistakes of yesterday your lessons for today.”

Unknown

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”

John Wooden, College Basketball Coach

“Failure is not the worst thing in the world.  The very worst is not to try.”

Unknown

“The price of success is perseverance.  The price of failure comes cheaper.”

Unknown

I could list more and more of these “seeds”, but the last one I have offered you reminds me of Romans 5.3:  “…we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”  Isaiah 40.31 says “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  So…remember to preserver and hope in the Lord.  If you do those two things you’ll know the power of the Lord God Almighty!  bw
